Fall Gutter Cleaning
Spring Gutter Cleaning
Low pressure soft wash roof cleaning

In May and June, trees begin to reproduce and drop large quantities of debris such as buds, seed pods, oak tassles, ragweed, and others. That debris will collect on your roof and in your gutters and leaders.  Soon after, clogs will form and excess water unable to drain properly can and will eventually lead to costly gutter damage and water damage to your home. It is easy to avoid this damage by maintaining a strict cleaning schedule. We recommend your Spring cleaning be done when the trees on, and around your property stop reproducing  and dropping debris. This time is usually from late May through June and into the early part of July. Just in time for when the Summer thunderstorms bring heavy water accumulation and serious damage can occur.

Besides being unsightly, stains and organic growth such as moss, Lichen, and algae can and will have severe damaging effects on your roof. Algae or "gloeocapsa magma" is a bacteria that feeds off asphalt and limestone roofing.  The airborne algae on your roof can be identified by black streaks easily seen from the ground and left untreated will spread rapidly with the wind to other parts of your home and even to the neighbors roof! Lichens and moss which evolve from the gloeocapsa magma attach themselves very securely to your shingles and in time will forcibly remove the top layer of the shingle causing permanent damage and shortening the life span of your roof.  These organisms must be treated properly and NEVER blasted away with pressure. We apply a low pressure soft wash solution as directed by the Asphalt Roofing Manufactures Association (ARMA). It is a gentle and safe application with the best professional equipment in the industry!

Debris will start to fall again in October and in some cases through December.

The leaves and debris you see on your lawn are on your roof and in your gutters too. The weight of your gutters from large accumulations of heavy wet debris can rip your gutters from the house causing extensive damage and costly repairs. Heavy accumulation almost always leads to clogs which eventually leads to water damage to, and around your home. Later, ice damming can occur from water overflow in these cold months and can be extremely dangerous.  Avoid dangerous situations and costly repairs by having your gutters cleaned. The amount and type of trees on and around your property will determine if you need your gutters cleaned more than once in the Fall. . Ridgewood Gutter Cleaning will never push for more cleanings than you need. We will always give our honest expert opinion and leave it up to you!

Power Washing/Soft washing

Like gutter cleaning, power washing and soft washing is smart cost effective preventative maintenance. Power washing and soft washing not only can improve the curb appeal of your home and property, but it can also help protect your investment by removing and stopping the damaging effects of mold, mildew, and stains. Though a thorough exterior house wash any time of year is beneficial, we recommend having your home cleaned after the Winter. Allergen levels rise dramatically in the Spring and keeping the outside of your home clean will reduce those levels in and around your house for your family.
